Social assistance in Spain
Who to ask when money runs short, what a social worker can do and which centre covers your neighbourhood.
Integration and housing reports come from your region or town hall
Some residence applications in Spain need a report from the regional government or, where the region allows it, your town hall. The informe de arraigo supports applications based on having settled in Spain, an integration effort report can help when you renew a permit, and a housing report is part of family reunification. Some regions also want proof of courses or language skills.
How it works
Request the integration or housing report, or the language certificate, your residence application needs.
Some residence and citizenship applications require extra documents. In Spain, for example, the town hall issues integration and housing reports for certain permits and for family reunification, while in Poland and other countries you may need a certificate from an official language exam. Find out exactly which document the immigration office accepts before you pay for a course, an exam or a report. You usually apply with your ID, proof of address and details of your application. These documents support your application but do not grant residence on their own.

In some cities a municipal immigration team handles the request, in others the regional government does, and a housing report may involve an interview or home visit.
