Where to take the state Polish exam for your residence application

Registration rules and open sessions differ from centre to centre

Exam centres are mostly university language departments and specialised schools. Registration is handled centre by centre: some ask you to wait for a confirmation before paying, and some keep a waiting list when sessions are full.

20 offices
  • Bielsko-Biała

Wyższa Szkoła Ekonomiczno-Humanistyczna — Szkoła Kultury i Języka Polskiego

    ul. gen. Wł. Sikorskiego 4-4c, 43-300 Bielsko-Biała

Choose your level carefully, because it cannot be changed once you have registered and paid.

Confirm the original identity documents required, as the requirement varies: a passport, residence card or EU/EEA identity card, or, under the April 2026 rules, a passport and another photo ID. Request accommodations when registering. The rules say detailed instructions arrive at least seven days before the exam, and the centre may cancel a level with fewer than 10 candidates. After passing, arrange collection at the university or postage at your expense; the certificate fee is additional.

  • Bydgoszcz

    Medicus Bydgoszcz

    ul. Dworcowa 106–108, 85-010 Bydgoszcz

Choose the Bydgoszcz option in the exam form, then ask the school where and when the oral exam takes place.

Prepare your name as shown in your identity document, date of birth, email, phone and correspondence address. The rules refer to a passport for registration and to passport/residence-card identification elsewhere: confirm the accepted documents for your case. Bring a black or blue non-erasable pen and arrive at the assigned time. Ask early about accommodations and current cancellation terms. Results and collection instructions arrive by email. Collection may be personal with photo ID or through a person authorised in writing; ask about registered-post delivery and its charge.

  • Bydgoszcz

Uniwersytet Kazimierza Wielkiego — Centrum Nauczania Języka Polskiego dla Obcokrajowców

    ul. M. K. Ogińskiego 16, pokój 102 (I piętro), 85-092 Bydgoszcz

Read the current instructions first, then email the centre and wait for its acceptance before paying.

Registration asks for a passport together with another valid photo ID; confirm the originals you should bring. Follow the emailed schedule for both written and oral parts; the oral part may be assigned on the written-test day. Pay only after the centre’s acceptance email, using your own session date and the current instructions. Ask about refund terms and certificate collection or delivery after results; passing and receiving the document are separate stages.

  • Bydgoszcz

Wyższa Szkoła Gospodarki — Centrum Egzaminacyjne Języka Polskiego

    ul. Garbary 2, 85-229 Bydgoszcz

Pick the adult or youth form carefully, and send your payment within two working days of the acceptance email.

Bring a valid photo identity document, such as a passport, for both written and oral parts. Follow the payment reference in the current instructions and include the session date, candidate name and level. The venue is WSG, Garbary 2, 85-229 Bydgoszcz; exact place and start time are emailed at least seven days before the exam. Contact [email protected] or +48 780 256 740. Check current arrangements for results and certificate collection.

  • Częstochowa

Polish My Language — Anna Korab-Szulc

    ul. Dąbrowskiego 17, 42-209 Częstochowa

The same form also offers a different language test, so make sure you choose the state exam.

Bring a valid passport or residence card and a black pen, following the school’s instructions. The form asks for the number and series of the document you will bring, so check the details against that original. Ask the centre how to register if you have no PESEL (Polish national identification number); the instructions request it with payment confirmation but do not explain that case. Arrange any accommodations with the centre and confirm certificate collection after passing.

  • Gdańsk

Akademia Języka Polskiego — Joanna Sławkowska-Marszeniuk

    ul. Lendziona 16/2, 80-264 Gdańsk

Applications have reached the limit, so watch the school’s website for any places that are released.

Ask the school which original identity document to bring, the total fees and payment deadline, and how results and the certificate will be provided. Give your details exactly as shown on the document you will use and arrange any required exam accommodations in advance. Confirm the actual exam venue, room and written/oral timetable: Lendziona 16/2 is the school’s contact address, not a separately verified exam venue.

  • Gdańsk

Akademia Vitas — biuro w Gdańsku

ul. Wały Piastowskie 1, pokój 612, 6. piętro, Gdańsk

Submit just one registration and pay only after the separate email confirming your place, not the automatic reply.

Bring your own pen and follow the written and oral instructions. The written-part guidance mentions a passport or identity card, while the oral instructions specifically require a passport; confirm any alternative document with the centre. The exact venue is emailed two weeks before the exam. For the oral part, the centre says to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the assigned time. If you need a VAT invoice, request it on the payment day using the centre’s instructions. Confirm results and certificate collection.

  • Gdańsk

Uniwersytet Gdański — Akademickie Centrum Języka Polskiego i Kultury Polskiej

ul. Wita Stwosza 55, 80-308 Gdańsk

The state exams run separately from the centre’s other language tests, so ask for them by name.

For an available future session, follow its own registration instructions: submit the form once and make the required payment on the registration day. The centre says confirmation follows within seven days and an invitation with details about a month before the exam. Bring the accepted original identity document: passport, Polish identity card or residence card. Arrange certificate collection or delivery with the centre after results. Report accommodation needs at least a month before the exam.

  • Łódź

    Akademia Humanistyczno-Ekonomiczna w Łodzi — egzaminy certyfikatowe

    ul. Sterlinga 26, 90-212 Łódź

Choose adult B1 or youth B2 on the form, and pay only after a separate email gives you a place.

Enter the identity document’s type, series, number and expiry accurately, and bring the original declared in your application. Confirm acceptance of your particular document, especially the form’s “other document” option. If accommodations are needed, indicate this in the form; AHE says not to enter a diagnosis or attach medical records there. Follow the centre’s separate instructions and submit the request and required supporting document no later than one month before the exam. Confirm certificate collection or delivery after passing.

  • Łódź

Uniwersytet Łódzki — Wydział Filologiczny, egzaminy certyfikatowe

    ul. Pomorska 171/173, pokój 3.94, 90-236 Łódź

Sending the form does not register you, so wait for the acceptance email before you pay.

Payment is due within one day of acceptance. Follow the payment details in your individual email; the certificate fee is payable after a successful exam. For an overseas transfer, the university asks the payer to cover intermediary-bank charges using OUR. Confirm which original identity document to bring, the written and oral schedule, and how the certificate will be collected or delivered. No priority or same-day certificate issue is promised.

  • Lublin

UMCS — Centrum Języka i Kultury Polskiej dla Polonii i Cudzoziemców

    ul. Weteranów 18, 20-038 Lublin

Applications have reached their limit, so ask about future sessions and use the exam’s own payment instructions.

Bring a valid passport or another identity card the centre confirms it accepts: the session page explicitly excludes residence cards and Polish identity cards. The PLN exam-payment option uses the 30 September 2026 exchange rate; confirm the exact amount before paying. Request accommodations with supporting documents when registering. After passing and paying the separate certificate fee, arrange postal delivery to the application address or personal collection. The level cannot be changed after registration.

  • Olsztyn

UWM — Centrum Kultury i Języka Polskiego dla Cudzoziemców

ul. Kurta Obitza 1, pokój 217, 10-725 Olsztyn

Email or phone the university language centre about exam dates, how to register and the fees.

For the next session, ask for the accepted original identity document, exact fees, payment deadline and any accommodation arrangements before applying. Confirm the actual exam building, room and written/oral timetable separately from room 217, which is the centre’s contact office. Ask how results and the state certificate will be provided. Keep course fees and course-completion requirements separate from the state-exam instructions.

  • Poznań

Kontakt — Centrum Języków Obcych / Edusystem Sp. z o.o.

    Plac Bernardyński 1A/1, 61-844 Poznań

December registration is full, but you can join the waiting list online in case a place opens up.

Write names with normal capitalisation rather than all capitals. Prepare birth details, correspondence address, email and phone; contact the centre about accommodations before registering. Wait for a place and payment instructions before sending money. Confirm accepted exam-day ID, cancellation conditions and certificate collection. Results are expected by email around 8–10 weeks after the exam; the certificate is not available straight away. Request an invoice promptly with payment proof and billing details, because the centre gives different invoice deadlines.

  • Poznań

    Medicus Poznań

    ul. Piekary 17, 61-823 Poznań

Register online for the December session, then pay after the school emails you a confirmed place.

  • Poznań

Simply Polish by Olga Bambrowicz — sekretariat

    ul. Poznańska 42/1, 60-538 Poznań

Fill in the waiting-list form for the full December exam, and the school writes to you if a place opens.

Use Latin-script identity details and a separate email for each candidate. Confirm which passport, EU identity card or residence document is accepted for your case. Bring a black or blue non-erasable pen and follow the arrival instructions. Contact the school early about adaptations. Check cancellation terms before paying. Results arrive electronically; certificate collection is at the place and time notified by the school, personally or by written proxy with identity verification. Ask about current shipping methods and charges.

  • Rzeszów

Centrum Kultury i Języka Polskiego / Centrum Języków Obcych — WSIiZ

ul. Sucharskiego 2, Pokój RA240, II piętro, 35-225 Rzeszów

December registration is closed, but you can call or email the university language centre about later dates.

Have your candidate confirmation and correct identity details ready when asking about an existing file. The December notice required payment proof to [email protected]. For a new application, obtain fresh acceptance and payment instructions. Ask which ID to bring, how to request accommodations, the applicable cancellation terms and how results and certificates will be delivered. Do not substitute a course-attendance document for the state certificate required by your authority.

  • Szczecin

Politechnika Morska w Szczecinie — Maritime English Center

ul. Wały Chrobrego 1-2, 70-500 Szczecin

Send your registration form and wait until a place is confirmed before you pay anything.

Bring a valid passport or an identity card accepted by the centre and follow your confirmed schedule for the written and oral parts. The rules prohibit supporting materials and devices that transmit, receive or record information in the exam room. Ask the centre about results and certificate collection or delivery after passing. Confirm arrangements for any examination accommodations in advance.

  • Szczecin

Uniwersytet Szczeciński — Wydział Humanistyczny, egzaminy certyfikatowe

    al. Piastów 40b, 71-065 Szczecin

Fill in the online form, then pay only after the university emails you that you are on the candidate list.

Bring the original photo identity document matching the type, series and number entered in the form. Confirm any particular document and accommodation requirements with the centre. Check the exact PLN amount using the NBP rate for the previous month-end and follow the individual payment deadline. Do not combine the exam and certificate fees. Confirm results and certificate collection arrangements.

  • Toruń

    SKK — Biuro Rekrutacji Toruń

    ul. Młodzieżowa 29, 87-100 Toruń

Ask the recruitment team about free places and the exact price before you pay for the December exam.

The exam form asks for name, date of birth, sex, correspondence address, email and identity-document type, series and number. Prepare accurate details and obtain the centre’s accepted-ID instructions. Ask early about any accommodations, the exam-day checklist, certificate collection and refund conditions. Use the state-exam enquiry rather than a general course-enrolment request. The payment deadline is 2 days after confirmation; do not assume it means two working days.

  • Zielona Góra

Centrum Języka Polskiego i Kultury Polskiej — Uniwersytet Zielonogórski

al. Wojska Polskiego 69, Budynek A-16, gabinet 109, 65-762 Zielona Góra

December registration is closed, but the university centre can tell you about later exams and certificate collection.

For the December exam, the university asks you to arrive at 08:15 with a passport and another photo document, plus a blue non-erasable pen. Check your name and birth details carefully. Confirm special-needs arrangements early. Payment details arrive by email; send the requested payment proof and confirm its recipient with the centre. Foreign-transfer charges are borne by the payer. Collection dates are emailed: bring ID, or give a representative written authority naming both people’s passport/ID numbers. Registered-post delivery is also available; check your application address. Ask about refund terms and oral-date requests before relying on a particular arrangement.
