Offices that help with Cl@ve and digital ID in Spain

Not every office helps with every kind of digital ID

Help with digital identification is offered by different kinds of offices: Social Security branches, citizen-service offices run by the region or the city, and others. Some only help on set days or for one type of ID, so choose a city to see what each office does, how to arrange a visit and what to bring.

AEAT Málaga — Unidad de Información y Asistencia al Contribuyente

Calle Héroe de Sostoa, 11-13, Edificio GAYBO, 29002 Málaga

Book online, and if you are registering a child, go together with the parent or guardian.

Bring DNI/NIE, applicable identity evidence, your own Spanish or foreign mobile number and an email address. For a minor, bring identity and evidence of parental responsibility. Cl@ve registration is different from obtaining an FNMT (Spain’s mint, which issues digital certificates) certificate; select the appropriate service. For in-person Cl@ve registration, the applicant must attend, including children; an ordinary proxy cannot attend instead. For a child, bring the accompanying parent or guardian’s identification and proof of parental responsibility or guardianship. Spanish children under 14 also need their own valid DNI (Spanish national identity card); foreign children need the legally required identity documents.

  • Málaga

Gestrisam — Registro e información general, Tabacalera

Avenida Sor Teresa Prat 17, Módulo 1, 29003 Málaga

Apply for your personal certificate online first, then book a visit to prove your identity in person.

Bring the FNMT (Spain’s mint, which issues digital certificates) application code and valid original identity documents or officially certified copies. Foreign applicants should bring official NIE (foreigner identification number) evidence together with their passport; EU citizens can use their national identity document where FNMT allows it. Normally attend personally. If another person must attend, FNMT requires prior notarisation of the contract signature; an ordinary authorisation is insufficient.
