Offices that help with Cl@ve and digital ID in Spain

Not every office helps with every kind of digital ID

Help with digital identification is offered by different kinds of offices: Social Security branches, citizen-service offices run by the region or the city, and others. Some only help on set days or for one type of ID, so choose a city to see what each office does, how to arrange a visit and what to bring.

INSS — CAISS de Bilbao 1 - Centro

Avenida Sabino Arana 3, 48013 Bilbao

Confirm how to arrange the visit first, because a pension or benefit appointment will not cover Cl@ve.

Bring your original valid DNI (Spanish national identity card) or NIE (foreigner identification number) documentation. Foreign nationals must also establish their identity with a passport or travel document issued by the competent authorities of their country of origin or provenance. Have your own mobile number and email available. One mobile number can be associated with only one DNI/NIE. Keep the registration receipt and follow the activation instructions. For in-person Cl@ve registration, the applicant must attend, including children; an ordinary proxy cannot attend instead. For a child, bring the accompanying parent or guardian’s identification and proof of parental responsibility or guardianship. Spanish children under 14 also need their own valid DNI; foreign children need the legally required identity documents.
