Offices for cancelling your address registration in Spain

Name the city you live in now and see how its office works

Town halls handle this their own way: signing a short declaration at the counter, reserving a time online, or sending a signed request. Bring your ID and a dated declaration that you are leaving, though what a particular office asks for beyond that can vary.

Oficina de Atención a la Ciudadanía (OAC) Centro – Línea Madrid

    Calle Velázquez 52, 28001 Madrid

Adults can apply online for themselves, while applications for family members need a counter appointment.

For a counter request, bring original identification and a signed written request stating that you have moved your residence to another country and want removal from Madrid’s padrón, with a copy of your valid ID. For a family, provide all members’ documents, birth certificates or family book for minors, and every adult’s signature. A representative needs their original ID and your signed request explicitly authorising them, together with your ID copy and the same family documents where relevant. Online applicants need valid identification. Check who will remain registered at the address before submitting, particularly children.
