Offices for cancelling your address registration in Spain

Name the city you live in now and see how its office works

Town halls handle this their own way: signing a short declaration at the counter, reserving a time online, or sending a signed request. Bring your ID and a dated declaration that you are leaving, though what a particular office asks for beyond that can vary.

Servei d’Atenció al Ciutadà — El Viver

Plaça de l’Assemblea de Catalunya, 9–12, Edifici El Viver, planta baixa, 08911 Badalona

Walk in without an appointment, and with the right documents your removal from the register is handled straight away.

Bring original valid passport or residence card. EU/EEA/Swiss nationals may use home-country ID together with the foreigner-registration certificate showing NIE (foreigner identification number). For representation, prepare form F0204, the representative’s original ID and a copy of the authorising person’s ID. Children need birth/family evidence legally translated into Catalan or Spanish; under-14s bring passport/residence card if held, and older children need the identity evidence the council requires. The checklist also requires parents’ or representatives’ ID, authorisation from both parents or legal representatives, and legal-representation evidence. Ask the counter how to document a custody-specific case.
