In-person help with certificates is usually by appointment

Certificates come from the national tax agency in most of Spain and from the provincial treasury in the Basque Country. Which certificates an office can help with, whether the document is handed over, posted or sent electronically, and how appointments are arranged all vary.

Online access accepts an electronic certificate/DNIe, Cl@ve or the current Renta campaign reference, even for an older year. Telephone requests require an appointment and Cl@ve. For an online third-party request, follow AEAT’s instructions for the taxpayer’s DNI/NIE and full name.
