Get an official tax certificate from a Polish tax office

Name the exact certificate the other side asks for

A Polish tax office can issue several kinds of certificate (zaświadczenie): proof that you have no tax arrears, proof of your income and a certificate of tax residence. Ask the bank, employer or foreign authority which one it wants. You can apply online, by post or on paper at the tax office that covers your address.

How it works

Get an official tax certificate

Request proof of your income, your tax residence or that you have no tax debts.

Banks, landlords, employers and authorities abroad may ask for an official tax certificate. The most common ones confirm your income, your tax residence for a double taxation treaty, or that you have no outstanding tax debts; some towns also issue certificates for local taxes. Ask the recipient exactly which certificate, tax year and language they need. Many tax offices let you request it online with your digital ID; others issue it at a counter, sometimes for a fee.

In many cities the tax offices share the streets between them, so the office has to match your address. Open an office to check its area and how it takes requests.
