Where to ask for social assistance in Spain

Neighbourhood centres, and in some regions benefit offices

Cities divide social services by district, so the centre that helps you often depends on your registered address. Open a centre to see what it offers, such as a social assessment, support with regional benefits or help for older people, and how to start by phone or appointment.

Centro de Servicios Sociales Puerta de Toledo

    Calle Paloma 39, 28005 Madrid

If you live in Embajadores or Palacio, book online or by phone for an assessment and help with benefits.

When booking, explain the issue you need help with and confirm which centre serves your address. Ask what documents are needed for your particular assessment or benefit: the centre does not prescribe one universal application pack. If you already have a social worker or a pending application, mention this so staff can direct the enquiry. Keep your appointment details and any subsequent document requests; booking alone does not submit every benefit application.
