Offices that issue passports in German cities

Appointment types and collection rules vary by city

Passport applications are taken by the local passport authority, which in many cities is part of the citizens’ office. Standard and express appointments are not offered everywhere, finished passports are handed over in different ways, and some offices ask for your previous passport again at collection.
