Where to request a partnership certificate in Spain

The register of your region, and sometimes your town hall, decides

Regions such as Catalonia, Galicia and the Basque Country run their own registers of couples, with their own forms and online options. Each office serves its own register, and whether you can ask online or must go in person depends on it.

40 offices
  • A Coruña

Xunta de Galicia — Departamento Territorial da Coruña — Rexistro de Parellas de Feito

    Rúa Vicente Ferrer 2, 15008 A Coruña

Either partner can request proof of your entry in Galicia’s partnership register, online or on paper.

Use the certification form PR212D, Annex V, rather than the new-registration form. Have the information needed to identify the existing entry and explain the purpose of the certificate ready. If requesting someone else’s record, prepare evidence of legitimate interest. Ask about any charge, the expected delivery time and the format the recipient needs; do not count on immediate issue or a fixed fee.

  • Alicante

Dirección Territorial de Justicia, Transparencia y Participación – Alicante

Rambla Méndez Núñez 41, 03002 Alicante

Get a free certificate showing whether you are registered, online for registrations from 2013 onwards.

Bring the certificate application and identification; foreign applicants need a valid passport. Do not send official applications to the enquiry email. Submission is not a promise of immediate certificate collection. For online requests, use the official authenticated certificate entry with Cl@ve or an accepted electronic certificate. Its notice restricts this application to entries from 1 January 2013 onward and directs earlier entries to the Generalitat’s general request procedure 95565. Follow that exception for older records; the general form is otherwise reserved for cases without a specific procedure. Save the electronic registration receipt.

  • Almería

Delegación Territorial de Servicios Sociales, Familias e Igualdad en Almería

Calle de las Tiendas 12, 04071 Almería

Book a help appointment about your entry, or download your certificate yourself from the regional online portal.

Bring identity evidence and any existing registration decision or file reference that helps locate your record. Explain that you need a certificate of the existing entry. Booking identification must match the person attending. Ask about accepted authorisation if someone attends on your behalf. If online data is missing or incorrect, ask the responsible team to check the file rather than treating the missing display as proof of no registration.

  • Badalona

Oficina d’atenció ciutadana de Badalona - Sant Roc (Departament de Drets Socials i Inclusió)

Avinguda del Maresme 182–190, 08918 Badalona

Hand in your request at the citizen office, then the register issues the certificate and posts a paper copy to you.

Use the specific certificate form, signed for paper submission. Bring ID and any authority or inheritance evidence. Match the identity document in the register; report changes first. The generic online petition is invalid for this procedure.

  • Barcelona

Oficina d’Atenció Ciutadana del Districte Administratiu

Carrer del Foc 57, 08038 Barcelona

Ask for a digital certificate online, or bring the signed paper form to the Catalan government office, ideally by appointment.

Use the identity document recorded when you registered, and update changed register details first. Bring identity evidence and any representation or heir documents relevant to your request. Download a fresh form each time. Online applications use a digital certificate or idCAT Mòbil and the dedicated submission process; a generic petition is not accepted.

  • Bilbao

    Zuzenean — Bilbao

Gran Vía D. Diego López de Haro 85, 48011 Bilbao

Ask for a certificate that proves your registration, or shows that you were never registered, in the Basque register.

Bring identity evidence, the completed certificate request and any required representation evidence. For an existing partnership file, delivery to a different address requires updated padrón evidence. Check whether a change to personal details must be recorded first. Confirm the required document and delivery arrangements; handing in a request does not issue the certificate immediately.

  • Cádiz

Delegación Territorial de Servicios Sociales, Familias e Igualdad en Cádiz — sede Asdrúbal

Plaza de Asdrúbal 6, Edificio Junta de Andalucía, 11008 Cádiz

Ask about your own partnership entry, and if you act for someone else, confirm the representation rules first.

  • Cartagena

OAMR Cartagena – Edificio Administrativo Foro

Calle Campos 4, Edificio Foro, 30201 Cartagena

Book a visit to get a certificate showing you are registered or not, usually handed over at the counter.

Bring valid identification, the partners’ DNI/NIE details, the purpose of the certificate and the certificate-fee payment evidence required for the request. Written requests use Modelo III; confirm the current certificate fee T010/H00001 rather than the registration fee H00002. No amount is assumed here. A representative needs legally valid authority; the procedure waives separate authority documentation where the power is recorded in the national electronic powers register.

  • Castellón de la Plana

Dirección Territorial de Justicia, Transparencia y Participación – Castellón

Plaza Juez Borrull 10, 12071 Castellón de la Plana

Ask the regional justice office for a free certificate, which can show that you are registered or that you are not.

  • Córdoba

Delegación Territorial de Servicios Sociales, Familias e Igualdad en Córdoba

Calle Conde de Gondomar 10, 14003 Córdoba

Book help with your entry, even if you have no Spanish tax number or electronic credentials.

  • Girona

    Oficina d’Atenció Ciutadana a Girona

Plaça de Pompeu Fabra 1, 17002 Girona

Bring the signed certificate form and your documents to the Catalan government’s citizen office, preferably with an appointment.

Use the identity document recorded when you registered, and update changed register details first. Bring identity evidence and any representation or heir documents relevant to your request. Download a fresh form each time. Online applications use a digital certificate or idCAT Mòbil and the dedicated submission process; a generic petition is not accepted.

  • Granada

Delegación Territorial de Servicios Sociales, Familias e Igualdad en Granada

Calle Ancha de Gracia 6, 18002 Granada

Book help from the provincial partnership team with your entry, and note that the certificate itself is free.

  • Jerez de la Frontera

Oficina de Atención a la Ciudadanía — Consistorio

Calle Consistorio, 15, 11403 Jerez de la Frontera

Call the city to arrange it, and check first whether your entry is in the older city register or the regional one.

Have your identification and registration details ready. The regional certificate guidance requires an identification copy; representatives should confirm the required authorisation. Confirm the certificate type, any fee and collection or delivery arrangements. Do not use a new-partnership application merely to request proof of an existing entry.

  • Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Oficina Canaria de Información y Atención Ciudadana — Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Calle Profesor Agustín Millares Carló 18, Edificio Servicios Múltiples II, planta baja, 35071 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Ask for a free certificate of your entry, with same-day counter handling when your papers are complete.

Have valid identification and any registration reference or decision available. Explain that you need the existing-entry certificate through immediate-response procedure 7235. Confirm the exact documents and delivery arrangements before travelling. The online entry offers digital-certificate/DNI-e and Cl@ve identification; signing in and obtaining the certificate are separate steps. Confirm any fee if the office directs you to standard procedure 4568 instead.

  • Lleida

Serveis Territorials del Departament de Justícia i Qualitat Democràtica a Lleida

Carrer de Sant Martí 1, 25004 Lleida

Call the territorial justice office first, then bring the signed certificate form and your documents.

Use the identity document recorded when you registered, and update changed register details first. Bring identity evidence and any representation or heir documents relevant to your request. Download a fresh form each time. Online applications use a digital certificate or idCAT Mòbil and the dedicated submission process; a generic petition is not accepted.

Ronda da Muralla 70, 27071 Lugo

Apply online or on paper, and ask the department what evidence your request or representative needs.

  • Madrid

Registro de Uniones de Hecho de la Comunidad de Madrid

Calle Los Madrazo 34, 28014 Madrid

Request your register status in person, and ask about legalisation if you need the certificate abroad.

Bring valid ID, the application and prepaid fee receipt for a paper request. For the immediate online route, payment is integrated. Correct any passport/NIE mismatch first: it can produce a negative certificate and consume the fee.

  • Málaga

Delegación Territorial de Servicios Sociales, Familias e Igualdad en Málaga

Avenida Manuel Agustín Heredia 26, 29001 Málaga

Ask the provincial team for help, or download the certificate yourself with Cl@ve or an electronic certificate.

Have identification and any registration decision or file reference ready. A certificate request by an interested person or authorised third party must include a copy of personal identification; ask what authorisation is accepted in your case. Explain that you need proof of an existing entry and confirm the original processing body. Missing or incorrect information in Carpeta Ciudadana should be checked with the responsible team, not treated as proof that no registration exists.

  • Móstoles

Registro General — Oficina de Asistencia en materia de Registro y Atención Ciudadana

Plaza de España, 1, Casa Consistorial, 28934 Móstoles

Submit your request at a municipal registration office, after checking that your entry is in the city register.

The documents for a paper application are the certificate application, proof that the certificate fee has been paid, and a copy of the applicant’s DNI (Spanish national identity card). Confirm accepted identity evidence if you use a different document. The amount follows the current municipal tax ordinances; ask for the applicable amount and payment reference before paying. Retain your filing receipt. An online request is also offered; check whether it is currently available and which electronic signatures the council accepts before relying on it.

  • Murcia

    OAMR Infante

Avenida Infante Don Juan Manuel 14, Edificio Administrativo Infante, 30011 Murcia

Written requests use Modelo III; confirm the current certificate fee T010/H00001 rather than the registration fee H00002. No amount is assumed here. A representative needs legally valid authority; the procedure waives separate authority documentation where the power is recorded in the national electronic powers register.
