Offices that issue proof of your address in Germany

Walk-in, appointment or online: it depends on the city

Your certificate comes from the registration office of the place where you are registered. Choose your city to see how its offices issue it, whether a simple or extended version is on offer, and what a person acting for you has to bring.

    Bürgerbüro Ruppertstraße

    Ruppertstraße 19, 80337 Munich

Apply online if you live in Munich or in writing if you have moved away, with an optional multilingual form for EU use.

Bring your passport or identity card, or the representative’s identification and completed authorisation. Specify which extra registered details you need, such as nationality, marital status or previous addresses. Written applications require advance payment using the official payment instructions and actual proof of payment; a copy of a transfer instruction is not accepted as proof. For a child, the attending person must be recorded as a custodial parent; the absent parent’s authorisation is not needed.
