Offices where you can deregister in Germany

Post, online or in person: it depends on the city

You report your departure to the registration office of the place you are leaving, and you can often choose between a visit, a written form and an online request. Open your city to see which of these its offices accept and what identification to send or bring.

    Dienstleistungszentrum im Stadthaus

    Berliner Platz 2, 53111 Bonn

Deregister online with BundID, by email or by post, or book a visit to get your confirmation on the spot.

Prepare the signed deregistration form, a copy of your identity card or your residence permit together with your national passport, and your future foreign address. A representative must have the signed form and be able to answer questions about your homes. For parents and minor children moving together, one person liable to register may attend and one family signature is sufficient.
