Offices where you can deregister in Germany

Post, online or in person: it depends on the city

You report your departure to the registration office of the place you are leaving, and you can often choose between a visit, a written form and an online request. Open your city to see which of these its offices accept and what identification to send or bring.

    Bürgerbüro Stadtmitte

An der Blauen Kappe 18, 86152 Augsburg

Report your departure online, by post or in person, using the day you actually move out, not your lease end date.

Have your identity card or passport ready. For postal submission use the city’s deregistration form and follow its instructions; a downloadable form is not itself an online submission. Prepare the actual moving-out date and future address. The counter is at An der Blauen Kappe 18; visits require an appointment.
