Where to report your move in your German city

Each city sets its own way of taking an address change

A move is reported to the registration office for the place you are moving to, not the one you are leaving. Some cities let you start online, others want a visit or a form by post, and the office tells you what to bring with you.

2 offices in Lebach
  • Lebach

    Stadt Lebach — Bürgerbüro

Am Markt 1, Rathaus, Erdgeschoss, 66822 Lebach

Email or phone before visiting to ask how to submit your registration and whether family members must come.

Prepare valid identity documents and the municipal Wohnungsgeberbescheinigung available on the city’s website. Ask about household, child-custody and other supporting evidence for your case. The linked parental-consent form contains older legal references, so confirm its current use rather than treating it as the whole checklist.

  • Lebach

Stadt Lebach — Verwaltungsnebenstelle für Asylbewerber

    Oderring 16, 66822 Lebach

Bring the form from the reception authority showing your new address and your ID, and phone before you go.

Bring your Laufzettel with the changed address and identity document. Ask whether any further evidence is required for household members or the particular move. Do not substitute the town-hall registration checklist for these branch-specific documents.
