Immigration offices for residence card fingerprints and collection

How your city’s office invites you and hands over the card

Not every Ausländerbehörde works the same way. Some invite you for fingerprints and a photo and send a second invitation when the card is ready, while others post the card or let you collect it at a counter. The details for your city show what its office does, how to arrange the visit and what to bring, such as your passport and any letter you received.

Landeshauptstadt Kiel — Zuwanderung / Immigration Office

Stresemannplatz 5, Neues Rathaus, Gebäudeteil D, 1. OG; Eingang Ecke Stresemannplatz/Kaistraße, 24103 Kiel

Book the handover in the online calendar only once your card is ready, since applying online does not mean it is.

For a biometric appointment use a certified digital photo code or the office’s €6 PointID service; printed photographs and scans are not accepted. Check the invitation for the current passport, old card, originals, any required attendance and collection authorisation. Confirm readiness with the authority rather than relying on a PIN letter or a guessed production date. The visitor entrance is at the Stresemannplatz/Kaistraße corner, Building D, first floor.
