Immigration offices for residence card fingerprints and collection

How your city’s office invites you and hands over the card

Not every Ausländerbehörde works the same way. Some invite you for fingerprints and a photo and send a second invitation when the card is ready, while others post the card or let you collect it at a counter. The details for your city show what its office does, how to arrange the visit and what to bring, such as your passport and any letter you received.

    Migrationsamt Bremen

    Stresemannstraße 48, 28207 Bremen

Come to the appointment for your fingerprints, and the finished card is normally posted to you.

Bring the identity and case documents your invitation asks for. Since May 2025 only compliant digital passport photos are accepted, captured at the authority or by a suitable photo provider; a phone image is not accepted. Confirm the fee in the invitation or at application. Keep your delivery address current and ask the authority about urgent travel, delayed production or a special collection arrangement instead of assuming the card will be available within exactly four weeks.
