Immigration offices for residence card fingerprints and collection

How your city’s office invites you and hands over the card

Not every Ausländerbehörde works the same way. Some invite you for fingerprints and a photo and send a second invitation when the card is ready, while others post the card or let you collect it at a counter. The details for your city show what its office does, how to arrange the visit and what to bring, such as your passport and any letter you received.

    Friedrich-Seele-Straße 7, 38122 Braunschweig

You need an appointment to collect the card, and the office normally assigns it when you apply.

Supply the documents requested by your residence application and appointment invitation. For the photo, bring a QR code from a compatible digital provider or use the paid capture equipment in waiting area 1 or 2; paper photos are not accepted. Allow about fifteen minutes for capture plus queues and follow the invitation’s access instructions. A representative may collect only under the office’s authorisation conditions: the linked form requires an adult collector with photo ID and the applicant’s passport, and contains PIN-letter declarations. Confirm the applicable form and acceptance before sending someone; a representative cannot change your personal online-ID PIN. Fees vary by residence document and are notified with the appointment.
