Complete and print a separate NetherlandsWorldwide checklist for each applicant. Bring its original documents, every travel document including foreign or expired ones, and a compliant photo. Under 12, obtain consent from both parents or guardians and bring their ID copies; ask the municipality if consent cannot be obtained. Collect the document personally within three months of applying; otherwise it must be destroyed and a new paid application is required. The Stadskantoor photo booth takes contactless payment and does not accept Belgian bank cards; arrange a compliant photo beforehand if necessary. This restriction concerns the photo booth, not all payments at the counter.

Bring every passport and ID card you hold, even expired, and a compliant colour photo no older than six months. Under 12, arrange consent from those with parental authority and bring their original ID or copies. Children must attend the application and collection. For children under eight, the municipality recommends a photographer rather than its photo booth.
