Employment agencies for jobseeker registration in Germany

Each agency covers a set of addresses, so start with your city

Registering is easiest online or on the free national phone line, but the local Agentur für Arbeit is the office that advises you afterwards. Start with your city: you will see which branch covers your address, whether you can drop in or need to book, and why you should use only one way of registering.

    Agentur für Arbeit Stuttgart

    Nordbahnhofstraße 30–34, 70191 Stuttgart

Book an appointment for ordinary visits, and note that urgent walk-in cases on Wednesdays are directed to Böblingen.

Prepare your expected employment end date and contact details; if the date is uncertain, give the expected date and report changes. For counselling, prepare qualifications, work experience, skills and job goals. Do not miss a reporting deadline while waiting for an account activation code: the agency allows deadline-preserving registration without that code. Send letters to Agentur für Arbeit Stuttgart, 70145 Stuttgart, rather than the visitor address.
