Employment agencies for jobseeker registration in Germany

Each agency covers a set of addresses, so start with your city

Registering is easiest online or on the free national phone line, but the local Agentur für Arbeit is the office that advises you afterwards. Start with your city: you will see which branch covers your address, whether you can drop in or need to book, and why you should use only one way of registering.

    Agentur für Arbeit Oberhausen

    Mülheimer Straße 36, 46045 Oberhausen

Use the agency’s online process or phone line to notify it, and book a visit only if you want to go in.

Prepare the expected employment end date, contact details, qualifications and work history for the follow-up discussion. If the end date changes, tell the agency rather than filing a duplicate notification. Local urgent walk-in hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 07:30–12:30; Wednesday is not included in that reception.
