Employment agencies for jobseeker registration in Germany

Each agency covers a set of addresses, so start with your city

Registering is easiest online or on the free national phone line, but the local Agentur für Arbeit is the office that advises you afterwards. Start with your city: you will see which branch covers your address, whether you can drop in or need to book, and why you should use only one way of registering.

Agentur für Arbeit Aachen-Düren — Dienststelle Aachen

    Roermonder Straße 51, 52072 Aachen

Ask for job-search support, and check that the Aachen branch is the one responsible for your address.

Have the expected employment-end date, work history and qualifications ready. If the end date changes after registration, inform the agency rather than registering again. For personal identification bring an ID with your current address, or passport and registration certificate. Do not delay the initial registration while waiting for a counselling slot. Phone service runs Monday–Thursday 08:00–18:00 and Friday 08:00–14:00.
