e-ZLA: Electronic Sick Leave Certificates in Poland

A medical certificate of temporary incapacity for work sent electronically to ZUS and normally visible to the employer.

In practice, “e-ZLA” may be something you quote as a number, present as a card, download as a certificate, or attach to an application. The receiving organisation may care about the issuing body, validity date, exact personal details, or whether the copy is recent, complete, certified, translated, or digitally verifiable.

e-ZLA is evidence, a credential, or an identifier; it is not automatically the underlying right, approval, or completed registration that the electronic sick-leave certificate may be used to demonstrate.

Before acting, check whether you are registered and covered, where routine care starts, referral rules, prescription access, patient charges, and what to do outside normal hours. Save the submitted version, confirmation, reference number, and any dated decision rather than relying on a screenshot of the starting page.
