Offices for fingerprints and residence card pickup in Poland

Some branches serve only their own cases, so check before you travel

Residence cards come from the foreigners’ department of a regional government office, and some regions also run branches in other towns. Choose a city to see whether its office works with online booking, queue tickets or a date agreed by phone, and what to bring.

Book card collection online once your case status shows the card is ready, because it cannot be booked by phone or email.

Bring your valid travel document and previous card if issued for collection. Collection is normally personal; ask about the precise requirements for a child or an exceptional inability to attend. For replacement after changed details, loss or damage, the separate checklist calls for an application, two recent 35 × 45 mm photographs, passport copy with original available, reason-specific evidence and payment proof. The local procedure says to send that replacement application by post to Okopowa 21/27, 80-810 Gdańsk, then follow the fingerprints summons. Replacement deadlines differ: generally 14 days after the triggering change, or at least 30 days before expiry of a permanent/long-term-resident card. Confirm the correct fee and any reduction; replacing a card does not extend a temporary residence permit.
