Registry offices that issue civil status certificates

Cities differ on requests, older paper entries and who may collect

Every city has its own Urząd Stanu Cywilnego, and the way it works varies: some issue copies of electronic entries quickly, others need more time for older paper ones, and some take requests only by post, online or after a phone call. Open an office to check its options, what to bring and who may collect the certificate.

Urząd Stanu Cywilnego w Kielcach – odpisy aktów

    Rynek 1, 25-303 Kielce

This covers existing Polish records and does not register a birth, marriage or death that happened abroad.

Prepare ID or passport, the person’s details and event date/place, required version and purpose, plus authorisation or legal-interest evidence where applicable. Standard fees are PLN 22 for abbreviated or multilingual paper extracts and PLN 33 for complete copies, with statutory exemptions. An electronic original must be forwarded electronically; printing it does not preserve its legal validity.
