  • Aalst

    Administratief centrum Aalst

    Werf 9, 9300 Aalst

Request your record online or at the counter without an appointment, and check whether you need a full copy or an extract.

Bring your ID or residence permit. For someone else, prepare authorisation, their ID copy and your own ID; provide proof of justified interest where required. For foreign use, check whether translation or legalisation is necessary before requesting additional formalities.

  • Antwerp

    Loket Antwerpen-Harmonie

    Harmoniepark 1, 2018 Antwerp

Order online or print at the terminal with your eID, and a birth extract for use abroad comes in ten languages.

Choose a copy or extract according to the receiving organisation’s needs and state any foreign use. Immediate download or printing depends on digital availability. If it is not available, the online process sends an email when ready; without signing in, it is posted to your official address when available. Archive searches, records from another municipality or foreign-use requests may take longer. A foreign record not yet recorded in Belgium cannot simply be printed here.

Order a birth, marriage or death extract online, or visit the town hall’s civil-status desk, where mornings need no appointment.

Have your identity document, the person’s name, the event date and place, the requested certificate type and its intended use ready. Bring proof of authority if requesting for someone else. Specify whether you need an extract with current information, a full copy including the record’s history, or an international multilingual extract. Ask the receiving authority which version it accepts. If an eligible personal record is available in BAEC, Just-on-Web offers a free download using eID and PIN or itsme (Belgian digital ID app); this does not make every municipal request free. For a divorce already transcribed, Arlon also offers a full copy or extract through État civil or the municipal online counter. The divorce extract costs €5, subject to the intended use. Divorce transcription belongs to the municipality where the marriage took place; ordering this extract does not register a new foreign divorce.

Bring your eID and, where applicable, evidence supporting your right to another person’s record. Confirm whether the recipient needs an extract or full copy. Translation, legalisation or an apostille depends on the receiving country; legalisation can involve additional charges. This is separate from any municipal certificate fee; check whether your document and destination actually require it.

  • Brussels

    Brucity — Civil Registry certificates

Rue des Halles 4, 1000 Brussels

Visit the civil registry counter without an appointment, or request your certificate by email, naming the format you need.

Bring proof of identity and identify the person and record required. State extract or full copy, destination country and purpose. An emailed request includes both sides of your ID; add the deceased’s identity for a death certificate. For another person’s record, prepare the applicable relationship, authority and supporting-purpose documents. For use abroad check the federal requirements and eLegalisation route before ordering; a multilingual format is not automatically appropriate for every country.

  • Charleroi

Maison citoyenne de Marcinelle – Population

Avenue Eugène Mascaux 100, Maison communale annexe de Marcinelle, 6001 Charleroi

Call to book your civil-status visit, or order extracts online if you are registered in Charleroi.

Have your identity document, the person’s name, the event date and place, the requested certificate type and its intended use ready. Bring proof of authority if requesting for someone else. Specify whether you need an extract with current information, a full copy including the record’s history, or an international multilingual extract.
