Where to deregister in the Netherlands before you leave

Your own municipality takes your departure, so start with your city

You deregister from the municipality where you currently live, so pick that city. Each office shows whether a whole household can report online or everyone has to come in person, whether it can give a certificate of deregistration, and what to bring, such as ID for everyone who is leaving.

    Stadskantoor Enschede

    Hengelosestraat 51, 7514 AD Enschede

You cannot report online if relatives stay in the Netherlands, even your parents, so phone to book a visit.

Bring valid ID for everyone leaving and the new address. If you later need deregistration evidence abroad, request an extract from an RNI (register for non-residents) municipality.
