Offices for reporting a move in the Netherlands

See which online and counter options your city offers

The municipality you move to is the one that needs to hear about it, and each one has its own routine. Some take reports online with DigiD, some only at the counter and some both, and all of them ask for ID and proof of your new home.

Report once with DigiD, and Eindhoven also takes care of removing you from your old municipality.

For a counter or postal application, provide valid identification and the rental or purchase agreement. When moving in with someone, also provide the owner or main resident’s written consent and a copy of their valid ID. Moving into a care institution has a separate form and correspondence-address options.
