Offices for reporting a move in the Netherlands

See which online and counter options your city offers

The municipality you move to is the one that needs to hear about it, and each one has its own routine. Some take reports online with DigiD, some only at the counter and some both, and all of them ask for ID and proof of your new home.

    Gemeente Breda — Stadskantoor

Claudius Prinsenlaan 10, 4811 DJ Breda

Use the DigiD form, but a move involving only a minor child cannot be reported online.

Have DigiD (the Dutch digital ID for government websites) available and enter the actual moving date carefully. Check MijnOverheid with DigiD to see when the address has changed; processing can take several days after the moving date. Follow any supporting-document requests in the form or appointment instructions.
