Offices for reporting a move in the Netherlands

See which online and counter options your city offers

The municipality you move to is the one that needs to hear about it, and each one has its own routine. Some take reports online with DigiD, some only at the counter and some both, and all of them ask for ID and proof of your new home.

Report your move online with DigiD, or use the separate online form if you cannot get DigiD.

Have a valid passport, identity card or driving licence ready, together with your new address and moving date. A rental agreement or consent to live at the address may be required. Prepare written authorisation if reporting another person’s move outside the family cases the municipality allows.
