Apply where you live and collect the card in the same place
Applications go to the municipality where you are registered, so the office depends on your address. Towns take bookings online, by phone or at the counter, and some give each family member a separate slot. When the card is ready you collect it in person, and the PIN letter arrives by post.

Staff can take your photo at the counter if you can sit upright and keep still, otherwise bring a professional one.
Bring your existing card and invitation if received, plus a suitable professional photo if the counter photo is unsuitable. At collection, bring the old card and PIN/PUK letter. Contact Burgerzaken for an alternative procedure if you cannot leave home.
