Offices for EU, EEA and Swiss residence registration in Poland

Your home address, not the earliest free slot, decides the branch

Registration is done in person at the foreigners’ department of a regional government office, and some regions have branches in other towns. Booking differs: some offices take bookings by phone, others hand out tickets, and the branch that serves you depends on your address.

20 offices
  • Białystok

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Podlaski Urząd Wojewódzki — obsługa cudzoziemców i uzgodniona obsługa paszportowa

ul. Mickiewicza 3, Parter — sala cudzoziemców; uzgodniona obsługa paszportowa przy wejściu głównym, 15-213 Białystok

Book your submission in advance on the EU registration phone line, which is open only a few hours on set days.

Prepare one application completed legibly in Polish, valid original identity and nationality evidence and four recent 35×45 mm photographs taken within six months. Add evidence for the relevant ground: employment or self-employment, study plus insurance and sufficient means, self-sufficiency plus insurance, or the applicable family relationship. Bring originals for comparison with copies and check certified-copy and translation requirements before paying for translations. National guidance says registration and the certificate are free; representation can involve a separate fee.

  • Bielsko-Biała

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Śląski Urząd Wojewódzki — Oddział Wydziału Spraw Cudzoziemców w Bielsku-Białej

    ul. Piastowska 40, 43-300 Bielsko-Biała

The branch covers Bielsko-Biała and the counties of Bielsko, Cieszyn, Pszczyna and Żywiec, based on where you actually live.

Prepare the Polish-language application with its copy, valid passport or other identity-and-nationality document with copies, four current biometric photographs, and the evidence for your residence ground. Bring originals and any required sworn Polish translations; recent supporting documents are requested. If already assigned PESEL (Polish national identification number) and registered at an address, include the relevant current certificates. The office contacts you after assessment; document collection can also use a specific collection authorisation.

  • Bydgoszcz

Kujawsko-Pomorski Urząd Wojewódzki — Wydział Spraw Cudzoziemców

    ul. Konarskiego 1-3, 85-066 Bydgoszcz

Book the EU registration appointment itself, not a card-collection or fingerprint slot, to lodge your application.

Prepare the completed EU-registration application, four biometric photographs taken within six months and a valid passport or other identity-and-nationality document. Add evidence for your basis of stay: employment, self-employment, study and insurance/resources, or family documents as appropriate. Bring originals and ask which translations are required. At collection, show valid identity and nationality evidence; a representative needs specific collection authority.

  • Częstochowa

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Śląski Urząd Wojewódzki — Oddział Wydziału Spraw Cudzoziemców w Częstochowie

ul. Jana III Sobieskiego 7, Częstochowa

Your home address, not the earliest free slot, decides which branch you use, and Częstochowa covers five counties.

  • Gdańsk

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Pomorski Urząd Wojewódzki — Wydział Spraw Cudzoziemców w Gdańsku

ul. Chmielna 74/76, Obsługa klienta; korespondencja: ul. Okopowa 21/27, 80-810 Gdańsk, 80-748 Gdańsk

Come in person, take a queue ticket, and register once your stay goes beyond three months.

Bring the completed application, four recent 35 × 45 mm biometric photographs, valid passport or identity/nationality document and the required copies. The local passport checklist asks for copies of all pages. Add the documents for your own basis: employment/business evidence; study or training plus health cover and resources; health cover and resources for self-support; or relevant marriage, relationship and dependency evidence for family cases. Confirm the required issue dates of bank and marriage certificates. Foreign-language evidence needs the accepted Polish translation and copies must be properly certified or checked against originals. Check the client portal before collecting the EU registration certificate. Its collection does not require an online appointment: bring valid identity/nationality evidence and take a ticket. A representative may collect this certificate with the required specific authority; this differs from ordinary personal residence-card collection.

  • Gorzów Wielkopolski

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Lubuski Urząd Wojewódzki w Gorzowie Wielkopolskim

ul. Jagiellończyka 8, 66-400 Gorzów Wielkopolski

Ask for EU residence registration by name, because a passport booking is not automatically the right appointment.

Bring the completed application, valid original passport or national identity document and a copy, four colour biometric photographs measuring 35 × 45 mm and taken within six months, and evidence for your residence ground. Work, self-employment, studies, health insurance, sufficient means and family relationships need different documents. The national guide also covers EU relatives joining another EU citizen. Confirm the checklist for your circumstances; an application form alone does not prove eligibility. Collection by a representative requires specific authorisation.

  • Katowice

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Śląski Urząd Wojewódzki w Katowicach — Wydział Spraw Cudzoziemców

ul. Konstantego Damrota 16, 40-022 Katowice

You can book a visit or simply take a ticket on site, as long as your address falls in the Katowice area.

The local checklist asks for one application copy and two identity-document copies; prepare legible photocopies rather than photographs. Confirm which supporting documents must be no more than 30 days old for your residence ground.

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Świętokrzyski Urząd Wojewódzki w Kielcach — Oddział ds. Cudzoziemców

Agree a day and time by phone, as there is no online application, and enter from the side facing the Silnica river.

Prepare one application, valid identity/nationality document with copy, and four recent biometric photographs. Employees provide employment evidence; self-employed applicants provide business evidence. Students provide proof of admission or enrolment; vocational trainees provide a training referral. Both groups need health insurance and sufficient resources, as do other economically inactive applicants. Family applicants need relationship and relevant sponsor documents. Registration and certificate are free; representation may incur a separate stamp duty.

Phone ahead to confirm your appointment, and do not use the ordinary residence-permit system for this application.

Bring the application, four recent 35 × 45 mm photographs, your original valid passport or national identity card and a copy. Add evidence matching your basis: employment or business evidence; or enrolment, health cover and resources for students; or health cover and sufficient resources for self-supporting residents. Family cases require relevant relationship and residence evidence. Check official translation requirements and bring originals or accepted certified copies. Do not collect every category’s documents indiscriminately.

ul. Lubomelska 1-3, Paszporty: I piętro; rejestracja UE: III piętro, pokój 322, Lublin

Book by phone first, and expect a certificate that stays valid for ten years without making you a permanent resident.

Prepare one legible Polish application, valid identity/nationality evidence with copies of all marked pages, a declaration of your last border-crossing date and four recent 35×45 mm photographs taken within six months. Add the employment, business, study, insurance, means or family evidence relevant to your ground; the office has a detailed checklist. Bring originals for inspection and check certification/translation requirements before paying for translations. Registration and the certificate are free. Security enquiries form part of the procedure, so a booked submission is not a promise of same-day issue.

  • Olsztyn

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Warmińsko-Mazurski Urząd Wojewódzki — Wydział Spraw Cudzoziemców

al. M.J. Piłsudskiego 7/9, Parter, pokoje 6–7; zgodnie z wezwaniem lub potwierdzeniem wizyty, 10-575 Olsztyn

Opolski Urząd Wojewódzki — Centrum Obsługi Cudzoziemców

    ul. Piastowska 14, 45-081 Opole

Prepare one application, valid identity/nationality document with copy, and four recent biometric photographs. Employees provide employment evidence; self-employed applicants provide business evidence. Students provide proof of admission or enrolment; vocational trainees provide a training referral. Both groups need health insurance and sufficient resources, as do other economically inactive applicants. Family applicants need relationship and relevant sponsor documents. • Poznań

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Wielkopolski Urząd Wojewódzki – Wydział Spraw Cudzoziemców, Poznań

    plac Wolności 17, 61-739 Poznań

Choose the EU citizen registration, not the similarly named form for people under the UK Withdrawal Agreement.

Prepare one completed application, four photos, identity-and-nationality document copy and original, plus evidence for the residence basis. Workers need employment evidence; students need enrolment, insurance and a resources declaration. Self-sufficient applicants need insurance and resources evidence. Family cases require relationship evidence. For marriage to a Polish citizen, the local list asks for a recent marriage record and the spouse’s identity evidence. Confirm current document-age requirements instead of relying on old income figures in a glossary.

  • Rzeszów

Podkarpacki Urząd Wojewódzki — Oddział Obsługi Cudzoziemców

    ul. Grunwaldzka 15, 35-068 Rzeszów

Book through the foreigners reservation page under your own name, and avoid making duplicate bookings.

Add evidence matching your basis, such as employer confirmation, self-employment evidence, or study/means/healthcare documents. A family case needs the appropriate relationship and sponsor evidence and may use another application form.

ul. Wały Chrobrego 4, 70-502 Szczecin

Prepare the Polish application, four photographs and a copy of a valid passport or other identity-and-nationality document, with the original for checking. Add employer evidence or proof of self-employment, or the study/insurance/resources documents for the relevant basis. Family cases need the appropriate relationship evidence; marriage to a Polish citizen also needs the spouse’s identity evidence. Use originals or certified copies and follow the summons for missing documents. Check exact current insurance and funds requirements; do not rely on an old fixed income figure.

  • Wrocław

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Dolnośląski Urząd Wojewódzki — sprawy obywatelskie i cudzoziemcy

pl. Powstańców Warszawy 1, Rejestracja UE: Sala Obsługi Klienta A, 50-153 Wrocław

For first EU residence registration, bring the Polish application, valid original identity/nationality document and a copy of all marked pages, plus four recent 35×45 mm biometric photographs taken within six months. The national regulation requires four for first registration; its two-photo rule concerns replacement or reissue of the registration certificate. Add evidence matching your actual residence ground: work, self-employment, study with insurance and resources, sufficient means with insurance, or family circumstances. Bring originals for checking and required sworn Polish translations. For a child, confirm attendance and parental-representation arrangements before travelling. Registration has no fee.

  • Zielona Góra

For EU, EEA and Swiss citizens

Delegatura LUW w Zielonej Górze – Oddział Paszportów
