Centres that issue Icelandic course certificates

Contact the centre where you studied

Course certificates come from the adult education centres and language schools where you studied. Centres differ on whether they want a call or an email first and on what they need from you, such as your course dates. Check that the Directorate of Immigration accepts the document before you rely on it.

Contact the school before you visit and ask for your course dates, teaching hours and attendance.

Have your student details, course level and dates available so the school can find your record. Explain which authority needs it and ask that teaching hours and actual attendance be clear. Confirm the required signature, original or electronic format, any document fee and preparation time. Ask the authority separately about its current language-evidence requirements and whether your particular course record meets them.
