Passport offices in Belgium, city by city

Your own municipality takes the application

Passport applications are taken at the counter of your own municipality. Each office sets its own booking routine, serves visitors in its own languages, and has rules for children and for collecting the finished passport, with or without a new appointment.

    Dienst Burgerzaken – Reizen

    Woodrow Wilsonplein 1, 9000 Ghent

Book a personal appointment, then wait for the ready notice before you collect at the walk-in counter.

Bring your identity card and previous passport if issued less than ten years ago; for theft bring the police report. Staff take the photo; bring your own compliant photo for a child under three or an older child unable to sit still independently. A second passport needs a signed employer statement or travel explanation for approval. If you need your current passport for travel while awaiting the new one, tell staff and bring it back at collection. Loss alone does not require an additional document.
