Offices that help with eID codes and digital keys in Belgium

Check whether your town needs an appointment first

In some towns you can walk in and change a forgotten PIN on the spot, in others you book a counter slot, send a form to the population service or order new codes from the federal service first. Check your city to see which applies and what ID to bring.

Newer cards can get a new PIN by appointment, and the express desk takes code orders without one.

Bring your identity document and any remaining code letter; check the card’s issue date before choosing a paid replacement request. Wait for the Population invitation when replacement codes are ordered. Do not assume the general identity-card chip update after moving is the same task: that update follows police address confirmation and requires knowing the PIN.
