Offices that help with eID codes and digital keys in Belgium

Check whether your town needs an appointment first

In some towns you can walk in and change a forgotten PIN on the spot, in others you book a counter slot, send a form to the population service or order new codes from the federal service first. Check your city to see which applies and what ID to bring.

  • Namur

Hôtel de Ville de Namur – Espace Citoyens, Population et Étrangers

Rue de Fer, Hôtel de Ville, 5000 Namur

Newer cards get a new PIN directly at the desk, so do not order replacement codes for them.

Bring the identity card and PUK (PIN unlock code) if available. Replacement codes reach Population–Civil Status within ten days and cost €10 to collect; confirm arrival before travelling. Unlocking a blocked card with your existing PUK is free. Ask the counter about the charge for a direct newer-card PIN reset.

Hôtel de Ville de Namur – Espace Citoyens, Population et Étrangers

Rue de Fer, Hôtel de Ville, 5000 Namur

Go in person with your temporary-stay document and BIS number to get a paper activation code and an email link.

Bring your qualifying annex and BIS number and ensure you can access your personal email. If you need the BIS number first, contact [email protected] under the city’s specific procedure. The digital key is free. The activation code is single-use and the emailed link expires after 14 days; finish activation within that window.
