Offices that help with eID codes and digital keys in Belgium

Check whether your town needs an appointment first

In some towns you can walk in and change a forgotten PIN on the spot, in others you book a counter slot, send a form to the population service or order new codes from the federal service first. Check your city to see which applies and what ID to bring.

Administration communale de Mons – Population, État civil et Étrangers

    Rue Buisseret 2, 7000 Mons

Walk in on a weekday and ask whether your card can be reset on the spot or needs replacement codes.

Bring the electronic identity/residence card and your PUK (PIN unlock code) if available. The fee is €5; Bancontact is preferred. For older cards without codes, delivery to Population takes three working days; confirm availability before travelling. New-model counter reset and known-PUK recovery can be done immediately, subject to the applicable card procedure.
