Offices that help with eID codes and digital keys in Belgium

Check whether your town needs an appointment first

In some towns you can walk in and change a forgotten PIN on the spot, in others you book a counter slot, send a form to the population service or order new codes from the federal service first. Check your city to see which applies and what ID to bring.

Request replacement codes, then phone to check they have arrived before you go to activate your PIN.

Have the card and any original code letter ready. The federal request uses your 11-digit national-register number; keep this and the PIN private. After a recent move, codes may have gone to the former municipality, so confirm the destination. IBZ says the municipality may charge a fee; ask the city for the applicable amount.
