Where to report a change of address in Belgium

Choose the city you moved to, not the one you left

A move is reported to the municipality you are moving to, and each one has its own routine: some take the report online or at a kiosk, others through a district office or by appointment. Afterwards you are asked to come in so your ID or residence card can be updated.

  • Verviers

Ville de Verviers — Service des Étrangers

Place du Marché 55, 4800 Verviers

If you hold a type A, B, EU, F or M card, phone for an appointment to declare your move.

Bring your residence document and identify the household members moving with you. Know your PIN for the second appointment. Lost PINs can be requested at federal level; the city also accepts requests for cards issued after 1 January 2022. A replacement PIN request costs €15 and the service contacts you when the codes arrive.

  • Verviers

Ville de Verviers — Service Population

Place du Marché 55, 4800 Verviers

If you are Belgian or hold a permanent card, declare your move online or book a visit at the town hall.

Bring your identity card and identify every household member moving with you. Know the card PIN for the later chip update. A replacement PIN order has a separate €15 charge if needed. The city also provides an Intradel container-transfer form; that waste-service form is free and is not the address-registration declaration.
