Where to report a change of address in Belgium

Choose the city you moved to, not the one you left

A move is reported to the municipality you are moving to, and each one has its own routine: some take the report online or at a kiosk, others through a district office or by appointment. Afterwards you are asked to come in so your ID or residence card can be updated.

Rue de Fer, Hôtel de Ville, 5000 Namur

Report your move online, or come to the town hall counters on a weekday with or without an appointment.

Prepare your actual new address, move date and identity or residence document, plus details of household members concerned. Report after moving in, rather than treating a future lease as proof that you already live there. Ask which card updates are needed after the police check.
