Where to report a change of address in Belgium

Choose the city you moved to, not the one you left

A move is reported to the municipality you are moving to, and each one has its own routine: some take the report online or at a kiosk, others through a district office or by appointment. Afterwards you are asked to come in so your ID or residence card can be updated.

    Rue Buisseret 2, 7000 Mons

Declare your move online with eID or itsme, and make your name and house number visible for the police visit.

Prepare identity/residence cards or loss/theft declarations and the actual new address. For the chip update, bring all affected household cards and their PINs. For separated parents, provide relevant child-residence agreements or judgments. After an administrative deletion, an invalidated card needs replacement, not just a chip update.
