Where to report a change of address in Belgium

Choose the city you moved to, not the one you left

A move is reported to the municipality you are moving to, and each one has its own routine: some take the report online or at a kiosk, others through a district office or by appointment. Afterwards you are asked to come in so your ID or residence card can be updated.

Report your move online within eight days, then book a visit to update your eID once the police check is done.

Have your actual new address and move details ready. For the chip update bring your eID and PIN, plus affected family members’ identity cards or Kids-ID and PINs if acting for them. One family member can complete those card updates when all required PINs are known.
