Residence matters are handled by the foreigners’ department of the voivodeship office, and which one you apply to depends on where you live. Some offices have branches that serve nearby towns. How applications are taken, and when applicants are called in, varies from office to office; expect to show documents such as your original passport.

    Prepare a digital photograph, scans of all pages of a valid passport, the required supporting documents and payment confirmations, taking account of exemptions. Sign and send using your own accepted electronic signature and save the UPO receipt. Employment, study and other relevant applications may need an electronically signed employer, university or host annex: allow time for that signature before your filing deadline. Do not mail a duplicate paper application. Online filing does not remove the later personal visit.
