Residence matters are handled by the foreigners’ department of the voivodeship office, and which one you apply to depends on where you live. Some offices have branches that serve nearby towns. How applications are taken, and when applicants are called in, varies from office to office; expect to show documents such as your original passport.

Follow the authority’s summons for any required fingerprints, signature sample and inspection of your original passport, and provide any further information or documents it requests.
