Residence matters are handled by the foreigners’ department of the voivodeship office, and which one you apply to depends on where you live. Some offices have branches that serve nearby towns. How applications are taken, and when applicants are called in, varies from office to office; expect to show documents such as your original passport.

    Prepare electronic identification and signature, a digital photo, scans of every passport page, applicable payment proofs and documents for the permit ground. Your employer, university or placement organiser may need to sign its attachment electronically before you can send. Start early, retain originals and follow the current MOS (online residence application system) checklist. Electronic submission does not make the whole procedure remote or guarantee approval. For a temporary residence-and-work application, sending the invitation for the employer’s attachment does not finish filing. After the employer signs and returns the attachment in MOS, reopen your application, sign and send it, then download the UPO. Without UPO, the application is treated as not effectively submitted.
