Offices that help you find work in the Netherlands

Compare UWV and municipal job centres in your city

Some cities have a UWV Werkplein where you can walk in on weekdays, while others see people only by appointment or point you to a municipal job centre. Whether you should call or book first, and what to bring, depends on the office.

Laan op Zuid 393, 3072 DB Rotterdam

Walk in on weekdays for advice on work and training, at a wheelchair-accessible office.

Prepare your work and education history, CV if available, and the question or message you need help with. You use your own DigiD (the Dutch digital ID for government websites) for the online Werkmap; keep passwords and verification codes private. If applying for social assistance, the national application guide also asks for your BSN (citizen service number) and relevant income, assets, bank, housing and employment evidence. Check the municipal checklist rather than treating a job-search visit as a completed benefit application.
