Offices that help you find work in the Netherlands

Compare UWV and municipal job centres in your city

Some cities have a UWV Werkplein where you can walk in on weekdays, while others see people only by appointment or point you to a municipal job centre. Whether you should call or book first, and what to bring, depends on the office.

Walk in for no-obligation advice on finding work, changing jobs or training, whether or not you receive a benefit.

Prepare a short explanation of your work or training question. A CV or relevant course/job information may help you explain your needs. Ask the adviser whether any documents are needed for the help you want. If you need WW (Dutch unemployment benefit), follow UWV’s separate application procedure and deadline rather than waiting for an advice visit.
