Social welfare centres in Belgium, by city

Ask at the centre of the municipality where you live

Larger cities have several service points, spread over different neighbourhoods. Some want an online request first, others hold drop-in sessions on set days, and a few hand out numbered tickets that can run out early. Find your city to see how its centre works before you head there.

Centre de Service Social de Namur ASBL

    Rue Rupplémont 20, 5000 Namur

Staff explain your letters, help you reply and talk through a budget, whether or not you book first.

Explain the problem and ask which papers would help. Relevant bills, letters or housing documents can make the discussion easier; this is practical preparation, not a compulsory checklist. For a formal CPAS (public social welfare centre) support request, use the competent CPAS; CSSN advice does not itself establish benefit entitlement.

CPAS de Namur — accueil Rue de Dave

Rue de Dave 165, 5100 Namur

Call to confirm the right service first, and ask about the information session if your unemployment benefit has ended.

For unemployment-exclusion advice, the CPAS (public social welfare centre) asks people to come no earlier than one month before exclusion begins. Keep the notification and relevant dates available and ask which financial, household and supporting documents your individual assessment requires. The factsheet is general guidance, not a complete application checklist or an award decision. If the CPAS website fails to open, call to confirm how to submit; an information enquiry is not automatically an application.
