Social welfare centres in Belgium, by city

Ask at the centre of the municipality where you live

Larger cities have several service points, spread over different neighbourhoods. Some want an online request first, others hold drop-in sessions on set days, and a few hand out numbered tickets that can run out early. Find your city to see how its centre works before you head there.

  • Liège

CPAS de Liège — Antenne Jeunes

    Rue Natalis 49, 4020 Liège

If you are 18 to 24, book an appointment to discuss your situation and shape a realistic plan for life and work.

Explain your age, whether you are studying, your current difficulties and any existing CPAS (public social welfare centre) case. Ask which documents are needed for the assessment; there is no one universal checklist. If unemployment exclusion is the reason for requesting help, follow the new-requests desk instructions at Potiérue 5 rather than assuming a youth appointment replaces that intake.

  • Liège

CPAS de Liège — Antenne Orban

Quai Orban 32-34, Entrée via le parking de Cohézio, Rue de Seraing, 4020 Liège

You are seen by appointment only, after you have first been to the new-requests desk and been referred.

Bring the evidence requested by your assigned worker and any intake or appointment instructions. Confirm missing documents directly with the team. For the initial unemployment-exclusion request, the current desk is Potiérue 5 at 13:15 precisely on weekdays from the first working day of exclusion; the former Espace Monulphe closed on 12 October 2026. Do not bypass that first stage.

  • Liège

CPAS de Liège — Antenne SDF

Rue du Vertbois 88, 4000 Liège

Come in person with identity documents on Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday mornings for a new request.

Bring identity documents for a new in-person request. Ask which further documents you need for your circumstances, and explain where you actually stay and any existing case. A reference address or financial help depends on an assessment; this office is not an overnight shelter and does not guarantee accommodation.

  • Liège

CPAS de Liège — Antenne sociale Angleur

Existing cases only, while anyone new or without help for two months applies at the new-requests desk instead.

Bring the information and documents your social worker has requested, and explain any change in household, income or living circumstances. Enquiries by letter, email or telephone result in an invitation to attend personally during the branch’s reception sessions. For a first request or restart after two full months without help, use Potiérue 5, Cité administrative, second floor: ordinary new requests Monday–Friday 09:00–10:00; unemployment-exclusion requests at 13:15 precisely on weekdays, from the first working day of exclusion. Do not use the closed Espace Monulphe.

  • Liège

CPAS de Liège — Service d’Accueil des Demandeurs d’Asile (SADA)

Place Xavier Neujean 19b, 4000 Liège

Specialist help with housing, social rights and integration for people with a residence status, not for asylum applications.

Explain your residence situation, existing case and any previous Fedasil reception or Ukraine-unit support so the service can confirm the correct team. Ask which documents your worker needs; there is no universal checklist. A residence-related social-rights assessment is not a residence permit or asylum decision, and assistance is not automatic.

  • Liège

Guichet Accueil des nouvelles demandes — CPAS de Liège

Potiérue 5, Cité administrative, 2ème étage, 4000 Liège

Start every new request at the intake desk, and if your unemployment benefit has ended, use the separate afternoon reception.

The desk links a guide to useful documents for introducing your request. Ask the team which evidence applies and consult the current linked guide before attending; no universal checklist is asserted here. Explain any existing CPAS (public social welfare centre) file and the effective end date of unemployment entitlement. Follow the resulting referral and appointment instructions before attending Orban or another branch.
