Residence card offices in Belgium, town by town

Pick your town to see how its foreigners’ desk handles cards

Some towns ask you to book online, others want a phone call first, and a few receive visitors only on certain afternoons. Open your city to find out whether its office orders cards, hands them over or both, and what to bring along.

Apply at the central city service centre, and say so if you would rather collect the card at a district town hall.

Bring your old residence document, invitation and a recent compliant photograph unless using the counter photo option. For a first card, bring your foreign identity document. Loss or theft must be reported to police. The standard adult A/B/H/K/L and EU/EU+/F/F+/M cards cost €28, or €138 very urgent. Child A/B/H/I/J/K/L/M cards are €14 (€138 urgent); EU/EU+/F/F+ child cards €11 (€127 urgent). Confirm other card types and any photo charge.
